Music Listing 10/5

by - October 5, 2008 11:56am

Tonight the Lucky Dog brings to an end the long run of Sunday night shows for the Sunset Strippers to make way for the new Sunday tradition of 70′s AM Gold super group Danny Dark and the Black Souls. According to Mr. Dark’s bio he comes to Worcester after living most of his life on the west coast in the cities of Los Angeles, San Diego and the music mecca of Salt Lake City. The Black Souls are basically a who’s who of who’s who and this should turn into a can’t miss Sunday night fever of a good time. Danny Dark and the Black Souls start their sure to be long residency next Sunday at the Lucky Dog. Frankly I am happy about this as the whole hair metal tribute band thing was getting a little tired.

Slim pickens around the rest of the city tonight with Jason James over at Nick’s and Jon Short at Vincent’s. If you want to be your own Danny Dark there is always karaoke at 3 G’s but remember to please bring a small can of mace. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Please forward any info you might want to share about your new band or project, any awesome shows that are coming up, any good drink recipes, suggestions of great Scotch, or your new high bowling score to pinsomalley@hotmail.com. He also asks that you please send noodz, which is really his entire motivation for taking this gig.

But what do you think?
