Looking for something different to check out in the city today? Why not head down to the Worcester Art Museum for the 24 Hour Comics Challenge. This annual event is a challenge to cartoonists to produce a 24-page comic in 24-hours. WAM will be hosting 3 hour and 8 hour challenges as well, all challenges start at 3 p.m. and the event is open to all age levels. The registration fee is $ 5 and students under 18 are free.

Looking for something else to do this evening? Head over to ARTSWorcester at their Aurora Gallery at 660 Main Street for the opening reception for “Fire and Ice 2008.” The evening will include visual, performing, and culinary arts, a silent and live auction, art sale, and special guests. Tickets are $ 25 and the proceeds support the Aurora Gallery Program.
