What Does the Election Mean to You?

by Real Worcester - November 6, 2008 11:24am

After a good night of sleep our election day hangover is finally over. There’s still so much to digest days later, Obama will be President, marijuana will be decriminalized, we will continue to pay state income taxes…

We want to know how you feel about the election. Are you happy with the results? Do you see a brighter future for our country, state, city? Are you cautiously optimistic? Still undecided? Tired of talking about it?

We want to know.

But what do you think?

  1. Fellow Real Worcester bloggers:

When you link to a Flickr photo, please include a credit for the original photog, and a link back to the Flickr page! Failure to do this technically violates their terms of service, tho I don’t think they’ll actually break the link.

  2. I’m sorry I thought I linked it back to you. I will try to figure out how to credit. Thanks for letting me know!

I’m one of the “cautiously optomistic” crew. I really hope it turns out well but I can’t help but worry. Everyone will still be complaining no matter what happend with Obama as president but hopefully he can help turn the economy around and improve foreign relations.

I’m on the tired of it side right now, I’m so tired of hearing the Dem vs. Repub arguing and I’m right and your wrong B.S.

I’m not terribly happy about it, but I have found some inspiration in an unlikely place: Elizabeth Hasselbeck. I found her post-election support of President-Elect Obama to be a profoundly graceful act. Mr. Obama couldn’t be much further from the principles I hold near and dear: limited government, support of families and traditional marriage, and the promotion of a culture of life. In many ways his election is a defeat for these principles. But here we are, in the most advanced democracy in the world, and he has been legally elected President by the will of the people. Long live President Obama. May God grant him wisdom, guidance, and many years of public service.

    Go Jindal/Palin 2012!

I’ll be looking to move out of Massachusetts, hopefully, to a non-socialist state if I can find one. I don’t think the future bodes well for the country either, especially the unborn.
