Beware of Ticks

Just a warning to anyone that may be out raking leaves (or hiking) in the coming days, check yourselfs for ticks. They are still out there. I was out raking and moving leaves around all day Saturday. Last night I rolled over in bed and felt a sharp pain in my side. I asked my wife to check it out because I thought it was some sort of weird pimple (I know gross,right. “Honey, look at this zit.”) but it was a tick embedded in my skin. We got most of it out and applied an antibiotic. I’m hopeful because it was larger than the tiny deer ticks but I’m still going to the doctor tomorrow to have it checked out.
I haven’t had a tick on me since I was like 10 years old. Never really worried about them back then but now with the lyme disease you can’t be too careful.
