Balanced benefits

Worcester’s continuing effort to make municipal employee benefits more equitable and taxpayer-friendly may face setbacks from two quarters this week as the City Council debates health-care and family-leave benefits. In the current economic climate, funding for additional employee perks is simply out of the question.
