"Bailout" or "Does the Government think we are all turkeys?"

by - November 27, 2008 3:00am

This mornings news concerning of what looks like the possibility the the government shelling out over 7 trillion dollars as a economic stimulus in the form of a corporate Bailout and ever more about more bailing out made me sick. How stupid are we the people supposed to be? These greedy corporate cash cows, all asking for billions of dollars in a government hand outs, from AIG to GMC, deserve nothing. Our elected are betraying us if they give these creeps a single cent. How is it that we, the tax payers, are expected to support these business’ after they have ripped us off, swindled the people, and sold us less than quality products for decades. Now we are supposed to cover their loss of PROFIT, so we can later turn around and buy or invest in more of the same junk they have been selling us before.

Here is a thought. Bailout the people, end homelessness. There are some 305,186,613 people in the US. Approximately 72% are of them are above the age of 20. If the feds gave that 7 trillion dollars cash money to each person over 20 years old, each person would receive a little over $40,000.00. That’s $80 grand for a married couple. Now that my friends would be an economic stimulus package. Now, as part of the plan the Fed tell GMC ( or any car dealer ) it would give them a 50% tax break for one year in exchange GMC produces a car that generates its own fuel and will sell it for just under $40,000. At the same time the Fed regulate mortgage lenders mandating them to forgive existing loans and replace them with a flat 3%percent above the prime with no loan exceeding 5% of the borrowers working income. People would then invest, buy those cars, or place the money where THEY see it fit. Just think you and family members or friends could go out and start your own business, you and your wife can buy that house you wanted, some would opt for a new self sustaining vehicle, on and on, stimulating baby, stimulating!
I am not a financial wizard, however I can see a scam as good as anyone else. That’s the thing about getting ripped off. Anyone can smell the bullshit whether it is from city hall or the white house. It’s there in barrels to be bailed out and served up steamin’ hot.
