Districts and colleges boost Farm to School

The staff at the Massachusetts Farm to School Project appreciates the decision of many local schools and colleges to preferentially purchase local foods from area farms, both large and small. We hear wonderful stories of elementary school students marveling at the taste of crisp apples, juicy pears, crunchy carrots and smooth butternut squash – all grown here in Worcester County. At the college level, students enjoy delicious ingredients grown right near their campuses.
