Upton Bell upstages Chamber

The buzz this morning is all about ongtime radio personality Upton Bell, who reportedly caused a stir at this morning’s Chamber of Commerce event, which he was emceeing. Audience members say Bell tore into Worcester at the event that generally takes the tone of an upscale pep rally. Specifically, Bell took issue with the city’s form of government, and – hardest – event sponsor the Telegram, to the extent Publisher Bruce Gaultney stood up to defend the paper.
