Kindling

There are still a lot of piles of twigs, branches, and logs all over the city.
This one is rather large, sitting in the upper parking lot of Quinsigamond Community College.
Driving up around the Burncoat area this afternoon, I was struck by the number of maimed trees whose bare inner wood, exposed now from the damage, caught my eye even when I wasn’t looking for this kind of thing.
And now, just to make matters even more dire, the felling of trees infested with the Asian Longhorned Beetle will start today in this area of the city.
