Trillions and trillions

The bank rescue plan sketched by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner sent the stock market into convulsions this week, triggering a 5 percent plunge Tuesday and keeping jittery bargain hunters away yesterday. Even on Wall Street, $2 trillion is still a daunting sum.
