Sedition –noun. 1. incitement of discontent or rebellion against a government.In 1918, the Sedition Act was passed at the urging of Democratic President Woodrow Wilson. The 65th Congress that passed this law had a majority of Democrats in the Senate, and a Republican majority in the House.
