Astroturffers scheme but the sunlight manages to shine through

Jeff the Taxi guy brought this to light for me. When he first mentioned the Playboy article as it diped a not so naked toe into investigative journalism. I’m sorry to have missed the chance to read the playboy article however I did read the Atlantic dot com’s article. Playboy seems to have taken the original article that Jeff mention down. Either that or one needs to subscribe to Playboy which I care not to. So to keep things fair and balanced:
Megan MacCardle’s article eloquently points out these people who are and who also represent this country’s exceptionally rich apparently have no problem to lie and scheme very hard to fool us stupid lower income slave workers. They form fake grass roots groups and set up 501 c3 non-profits, also known as “astroturffers”, with titles that appear to be advocating on behalf of and of the people, when they are only out to put the fix in for themselves.
Some can argue that the middle class and poor have been “bailed” out too in the past. That may be true. Perhaps change, real change, however, can only be possible with a complete and radical break away, from the existing systems that has forged and nurtured greed, corruption and the oligarchy that has ravaged a free democracy and economic health in this nation. The bailout method intended to stimulate the economy is severely misplaced. With no regulatory caps, or provisions to maintain thorough citizen participation, rapid government AND corporate response and accountability, along with strict mandates to prioritize family health and well being, including that no family should live in the fear of ever loosing their home or being without food or health care. The method to eliminate economic problems have to be distributed in an environment that is free from a centralize power, or else every attempt, including Obama’s, will only be torn apart in political wrangling.
Read MacCardle’s article it is very good.
