L.S. Starrett Co. to lay off 60 to 70 workers
ATHOL – The L.S. Starrett Co. will lay off 60 to 70 workers at its Athol headquarters. The layoffs are the latest cost-cutting measures for the maker of precision measuring equipment. Earlier, the company implemented a reduced work week for most of the 600 workers then at the plant.
