Janitors say Buchalter isn’t coming clean

SEIU Local 615, the janitors’ union, is promising to have a “presence” at Wednesday’s at-large council debate at 90 Front St. to protest what they say is candidate Steve Buchalter’s reneging on a pledge to meet with them more than a month ago. And if that isn’t enough, they’re planning a candlelight vigil at 363 Plantation St. on Thursday night. Buchalter owns Enterprise Cleaning Company, and the union argues the workers there “suffer under working conditions that do not meet the industry standards of the Worcester and Westborough area.” Enough cause, they say, to break out the candles.
