Added ethanol hurts gas mileage

I have read many articles that sing the praises and faults of adding ethanol to gasoline for our cars. I have not seen articles about my observations. I have had a Prius for four years. Before ethanol was added to gasoline, I was getting close to 50 miles per gallon in Massachusetts. Since ethanol has been added, I now get around 40 mpg in Massachusetts. That is a decline of 20 percent in mpg. In Florida, I get about 30 mpg, which is a decline of 40 percent in mpg. I read that the percent of eth
