Congressman Jim McGovern will tour the federal ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act – Stimulus Bill) -funded construction site at Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc. today at 10:30am on the first floor of 26 Queen Street, Worcester, MA 01610. Media are invited to preview the construction of the new Walk-In Center for Primary and Urgent Care at Family Health Center of Worcester today at 10:30am and join Congressman McGovern on his tour of the facility.

The renovation of over 18,000 square feet of clinical space will allow 2,200 new patients to access primary care services at Family Health Center of Worcester.
Family Health Center is a freestanding Federally Qualified Community Health Center that serves over 22,000 patients through over 110,000 clinical visits annually. The mission of the Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc. (FHCW) is to improve the health and well-being of traditionally underserved and culturally diverse Worcester area residents through the provision of high quality, comprehensive and continuous primary health care, dental, behavioral health and social services. We operate a pharmacy, lab, radiology, WIC, urgent care center, and 6 school-based health centers to complete the continuum of care. We respectfully and compassionately care for patients in the context of their family, culture and community, and provide services in over 30 languages.
